Positive Thoughts For a Bad Day.

Everyone has days when it seems like nothing is working out to your benefit.  The boss is mad, you had a fight in the morning with your spouse or your child.  You are down or feel frustrated.  You keep making mistake after mistake.  We all have days like this.  Thank goodness it is not like this everyday. When we are having a bad day remember to take a breath and keep thinking positive.  There are times when I have to keep repeating the same positive thoughts just to get me through.  Remember tomorrow is a new day and things will improve and you will be okay.  This is my STAY POSITIVE thought for the week. ~Sara

Standing Alone

There are times when we are put in situations that challenge our feelings, morals and ethics.   The decision we must make  is a tough one and may put us in the line of fire with friends, colleagues, family or neighbors.  How many of you have been put in this position?  I am sure we all have at one time or another.  Some people make their decisions based on other’s opinions or thoughts.  Some people fear standing alone for what they believe in and tend to get lost  following the crowd.  I am here to tell you that it is OKAY to stand alone for what you believe in.  We need people who are willing to take a stand for what they believe.  Just one person doing this can make a difference and inspire courage and change.

right choice to stand alone

That is my STAY POSITIVE thought for this week.

I may not like you, but I will find something to like about you

All of us come across people who we like and those that we don’t like.  With so many people in the world you aren’t going to like everyone.  My mother used to say ” Sara, you don’t like all the dresses in a dress shop people are the same way”   So what do we do with those people in our lives who we don’t like?  We have them at church, work, school and our community.  Well,  here is a positive way to go about it.  I try to find something that I like or admire about everyone.  Sometimes this is hard, sometimes this is easy.  Just like the dress shop I may like the fabrics, colors or accessories I just don’t like it as a whole. Try looking at others the same way as the dress shop.

I have found that seeking the positive in others is most  helpful for me  in work situations.  We all know the challenges of working  with others and getting a job well done. When I am seeking a quality that I like and focusing  on it, it  helps me to have a pleasant  attitude and to feel  positive about that person, this then leads to a better working relationship.

Keep seeking the best in others and watch how relationships change as well as your feelings towards them.

Well, that is my STAY POSITIVE thought for the week.  ~Sara

2013 Will Be A Great Year!!!!

I hope everyone has a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.  I have multiple goals that I want to accomplish in 2013.  I bet you do too.  This coming year will be the year of discipline.  I feel I will need more of it to reach the expectations that I have placed upon myself.   Expectations are good they help us to strive for success.  My expectations have to do with improving myself, not about money.  I hope to become a better person next year than I am this year.   I know I can do this since I will work hard, focus, have faith and persevere.  You can do anything you want if you just believe, work hard and persevere.  That is my STAY POSITIVE thought for the week.

A Thankful Start

I think the best way to wake up every morning is to say “thank you ” for all the people and things that are in your life.  I think it is important to take stock of what you have and what you have accomplished and to be thankful for it.  So many times we are just going through life and fail to realized just how fortunate we really are.  We tend to compare our lives with those around us and miss out on what is right in front of us.  Next time you rise in the morning (grab the coffee) and take a moment to be thankful for where you are and what you have.  I bet it will help make a positive start for your day.

That is my STAY POSITIVE thought for the week.

It’s Okay to Ask for Help…

“When I need help I ask, when others need help I give it”  Sara

Many people feel that asking for assistance is a sign of weakness. I believe it is a sign of strength. When you ask for help whether on a project, to move furniture or advice on a problem, you are acknowledging the  fact that you have limitations and that you need others.  We are all very knowledgeable  in certain areas but not in all,  so we need each other.

Sometimes there are very stubborn people in the world (like myself)  who resist the urge to ask for help and do it all themselves.  I believe at times this is okay because it pushes us to learn and grow.  However when you begin to stumble, feel burned out, or your project isn’t going well  it’s important to acknowledge it and realize  it is okay to”ask” and most people are more than willing to lend a helping hand.

On the flip side there are also people in this world who are always asking for help and never learn to to do things for themselves.  Those people I believe are selling themselves short.  A little struggle is good, it helps us  to grow and learn. It is best to keep a balance.  Attempt things on your own first, if you find you are at a standstill acknowledge your needs and ask for some help.

Here is my STAY POSITIVE thought for the week.

Just Be

In my world I notice people especially mothers who are always busy doing for their children and families.  I notice in the working world that employees are always busy doing for their employers.  People are always so busy rushing around and doing something for themselves or someone else.  I wish the world would slow down and people could stop doing and just be for a few moments.

Look around our amazing world.  Take everything in with your senses.  Take a few minutes to reflect on your inner world.    See and feel what a miracle it is to be here and to be part of life. Just be.

Everyday I think it is important to take those few moments to Just be.  I think it can help us feel less stressed and maybe a little bit happier.

That is my STAY POSITIVE thought for the week.

Self Love♥

Self love is vital for a happy and fulfilling life.  Self love is attained through a positive relationship with yourself.  Ask yourself,  how do you feel about you?  What do you think about you?  How well do you care for you?  These are all important questions that reflect how you care and feel about yourself.

Self love is a process like any other relationship except this is a relationship with yourself.  Think about a relationship you have with someone you love, a spouse or a child.  You have accepted them for who they are, correct?  You take the good  with the bad, you are forgiving.  You care about their feelings, you don’t let others take advantage or hurt them.  Now look at yourself.  Do you do these things for you as well?

YOU are important YOU matter.  It is important that you take care and love yourself.  Discover who you are and what you stand for.  Accept and appreciate yourself for all your wonderful qualities.  No one is perfect we are all unique.   When you start to take better care and love yourself , you will feel better and happier.  You’ll  gain more confidence and self esteem. Your relationship will grow and you will love yourself more and more.

That is my STAY POSITIVE  thought for the week. ♥ Sara

Worried?? Try changing your thoughts.

Many of us worry.  We worry about our kids, spouses, jobs, money etc.  When we worry we are wasting valuable time and emotional energy.  We are losing out on the moments that we should be enjoying.  Unfortunately when we worry we are using our energy in a non productive way.  So how do you stop from worrying?  I have found that if I change my way of thinking to something pleasant I can begin to feel better. I tell myself  that everything will be “okay” and that I need to think about something else.  I  try to think of upcoming plans, vacation, my family or friends.  Sometimes when I begin to worry I call on a friend to chat,  or I read a book.    I find that if I consistently change my thinking when I begin to worry that I worry less and less.  Try this little idea and see if it helps you with worrying.   That is my STAY POSITIVE thought for the week.
