My Attitude=POSITIVE

Being a positive person doesn’t mean I don’t ever feel angry or sad.  It doesn’t mean I am always in a good mood.  It means that I acknowledge how I feel, analyze why and I figure out what I can do with it so that I can move forward. Being positive is a way of life and an attitude. There are times when I want to vent or have a pity party.  I limit it to just a few minutes since feeling sorry for myself really isn’t very productive.  I think it is important to feel what you are feeling and don’t deny it. Figure out why your are feeling that way and work through it.  What happened? What can I do about it?  If there is nothing you can do then ask yourself what did I learn from it?  Move forward, change the way you feel by changing your thoughts.  Think about something else.  Have your inner dialect move on to a different subject.

Being a positive person I am not ALWAYS happy.  I look at the brighter side of every situation and move forward in a positive light.  I remember things could always be worse and I count my blessings.  I remember every problem is my challenge and I will grow and learn from it.

Take time out for YOU

It is so important to take time out for ourselves.  We live in such a busy world that sometimes we are doing so much that we ignore what our bodies are telling us.  Sometimes we feel stressed, depressed or just plain overwhelmed. Take a deep breath and remember that you have needs too. Listen to what your body is  telling you.   Do you need some play time for yourself?    Remember we need to take a break and take care of ourselves as well.   Go out and do something for youself.  Even if it is just for a few hours,  it can make you feel refreshed, relaxed and renewed.  When we feel better we are able to focus and perform at a higher level.  We tend to enjoy being active and doing more when we don’t feel so tired and overwhelmed.

YOU are important,  take some time for yourself.

That is my STAY POSITIVE thought for the week.

Just Be

In my world I notice people especially mothers who are always busy doing for their children and families.  I notice in the working world that employees are always busy doing for their employers.  People are always so busy rushing around and doing something for themselves or someone else.  I wish the world would slow down and people could stop doing and just be for a few moments.

Look around our amazing world.  Take everything in with your senses.  Take a few minutes to reflect on your inner world.    See and feel what a miracle it is to be here and to be part of life. Just be. 

Everyday I think it is important to take those few moments to Just be.  I think it can help us feel less stressed and maybe a little bit happier.

That is my STAY POSITIVE thought for the week.

Self Love♥

Self love is vital for a happy and fulfilling life.  Self love is attained through a positive relationship with yourself.  Ask yourself,  how do you feel about you?  What do you think about you?  How well do you care for you?  These are all important questions that reflect how you care and feel about yourself.

Self love is a process like any other relationship except this is a relationship with yourself.  Think about a relationship you have with someone you love, a spouse or a child.  You have accepted them for who they are, correct?  You take the good  with the bad, you are forgiving.  You care about their feelings, you don’t let others take advantage or hurt them.  Now look at yourself.  Do you do these things for you as well?

YOU are important YOU matter.  It is important that you take care and love yourself.  Discover who you are and what you stand for.  Accept and appreciate yourself for all your wonderful qualities.  No one is perfect we are all unique.   When you start to take better care and love yourself , you will feel better and happier.  You’ll  gain more confidence and self esteem. Your relationship will grow and you will love yourself more and more.

Self Talk

Self talk is the most important communication you will ever have.  Self talk effects our self confidence, self esteem, our mood and our power to accomplish things.  Think about how you would talk to a child or a friend.  Would you be encouraging, kind and nurturing?   Do you talk to yourself that way?

I encourage you to improve your inner dialect.  When you start to think I can’t say I can with a little practice, or I can if I try hard enough or I can if this is something I really want.  Change the thoughts of I ‘m stupid, I’m no good to I am smart I am good.  I can do it.

Find a picture of yourself as a child and really look at it.  The next time you are engaged in negative self talk think of that picture of yourself and how you wouldn’t talk to a child that way so you won’t talk to yourself that way.  You are a miracle,  a beautiful creation, appreciate and talk kindly and encouragingly to yourself.  You will boost your self esteem and confidence.  You may even begin to feel better and happier.

Live a life with integrity.

I live a life with integrity so that I can be a role model for my children and others to follow. I may not have made a lot of money but I did make a whole lot of me.

Worried?? Try changing your thoughts.

Many of us worry.  We worry about our kids, spouses, jobs, money etc.  When we worry we are wasting valuable time and emotional energy.  We are losing out on the moments that we should be enjoying.  Unfortunately when we worry we are using our energy in a non productive way.  So how do you stop from worrying?  I have found that if I change my way of thinking to something pleasant I can begin to feel better. I tell myself  that everything will be “okay” and that I need to think about something else.  I  try to think of upcoming plans, vacation, my family or friends.  Sometimes when I begin to worry I call on a friend to chat,  or I read a book.    I find that if I consistently change my thinking when I begin to worry that I worry less and less.  Try this little idea and see if it helps you with worrying.   That is my STAY POSITIVE thought for the week.
